Awesome Miner Support and FAQ

Awesome Miner is compatible with all standard compliant ASIC miners, which includes almost every popular ASIC miner on the market. All Antminers are supported, including S7, S9, L3, L3+, R4, T9, D3 and A3.

Other ASIC’s miners supported includes, but isn’t limited to: iBeLink, Avalon 721 / 741, Innosilicon A2/A4+/A5+ and Baikal. One limitation on the Baikal miner is that switch of both pool and algorithm overheen the management interface (API) isn’t supported. This limitation is not te Awesome Miner, but te the Baikal miner itself.

Can I monitor the mining from my brainy phone or laptop?

To get effortless access to monitoring information at any time using any device, the Awesome Miner Cloud Services can be used, where Awesome Miner will be pushing monitoring statistics to the cloud. The common mining operations like switching pool and embarking or stopping a miner are also supported via the cloud web interface.

No firewall configuration is required to use Cloud Services.

Is the pool Prohashing supported?

Awesome Miner itself can be used with any mining pool.

To display juist profit information and use the profit switcher, Awesome Miner vereiste know the current profitability of the pool, and not all pools and coins have integrated support for this. Learn more about supported sources for profit information.

Prohashing is very special spil it uses the password field to specify algorithm information, and the Pool URL is always “prohashing.com:3333” no matter of what is being mined. Because of this special vormgeving of prohashing, it’s not possible for any software to look at the Pool URL and see which coin or algorithm is being mined – all of them look identical. This is a major drawback te the vormgeving of prohashing and it will for that reason never be supported with profit information from Awesome Miner.

Is EthOS supported?

EthOS is Linux based and uses the Claymore Ethereum miner. Awesome Miner can connect to any Claymore Ethereum miner spil an Outer Miner if the API of the Claymore Ethereum miner is enabled.

To enable the API of Claymore Ethereum miner, make sure the mining process on EthOS is began with the guideline line argument: -mport 3333

How do I get began with my Antminer or other ASIC miners?

How do I get embarked with GPU mining?

Use the concept of Managed Miners, where the mining process is initiated, monitored and fully managed by Awesome Miner.

To only run mining on the rekentuig where Awesome Miner is running, no extra software is required. To run mining on remote computers, Awesome Miner Remote Juut vereiste be installed on all the remote computers.

Awesome Miner Remote Juut provides very few configuration parameters and almost no user interface. The Awesome Miner main application is always used to setup miners, pools and all other configuration. Ter Awesome Miner a Managed Miner can be defined to either run locally on the same laptop spil the Awesome Miner application, or run on a remote rekentuig that runs Remote Smeris.

How do I monitor my miners located on a remote webpagina?

Awesome Miner requires a standard TCP/IP network connection ter order to access the miners. If the miners are located on a remote webpagina, the preferred solution is to setup a VPN network. Albeit it’s possible to not use VPN and simply configure a router for port forwarding, it’s not considered a good solution from a security point of view.

Another solution is to have Awesome Miner running on the remote webpagina and access it via Remote Desktop. To get effortless access to monitoring information at any time using any device, the Awesome Miner Cloud Services can be used, where Awesome Miner will be pushing monitoring statistics to the cloud.

Profit switching and Payouts

How to enable profit switching for my miner?

Profit switching is supported on ASIC mining, GPU and CPU mining. Learn more about how it works and how to enable it ter the guide about Profit Switching

Can I include my own pools and coins ter the profit switcher?

Yes, spil long spil the profit is known for Awesome Miner. Awesome Miner can use information from for example WhatToMine to know the profitability of a specific coin. For more information, see: Coin and profit statistics.

To add a single custom-made pool to the profit switcher, the very first step is to add it spil a fresh Pool ter Awesome Miner via the Options dialog, Pools section. To use numerous pools, add all of them and then switch to the Pool Groups tabulator where a fresh group can be added to include numerous pools.

To include a pool or a pool group to the profit switcher, go to the Options dialog, profit switching section and specify it spil a Custom-built pool.

Is the profit information te Awesome Miner onberispelijk?

Is the profit switcher making the juist decisions?

The profit switcher uses the profit information for coins and mining pools spil described te the guide for Coin and profit statistics.

When mining with GPU or CPU where the hashrates are different depending on algorithm, the Profit profiles are used by the profit switcher to know which pool and algorithm that is most profitable. It’s significant that the hashrates defined ter the Profit profile are matching what the mining system actually can perform, otherwise the profit switcher may switch to an algorithm that turns out to be less profitable.

The hashrates can also be by hand specified te the Profit profile. Right click on a miner and select Edit profit profile to open the properties for the profile.

To get insight why the profit switcher selects a specific algorithm, right click on the miner and select View Details and go to the Profit switching tabulator. Please note that thesis hashrates and profit estimates are based on what is defined ter the Profit profile. They may not match the actual hashrate and profit. If they are not matching, please use the Benchmark feature or by hand edit the profit profile to ensure they match, otherwise the profit switcher may select a less profitable pool. Where is my payouts from the mining?

Awesome Miner is not a mining pool. Awesome Miner is not responsible for any payouts from the mining operations.

For questions about payouts from mining pools, please refer to the web webpagina for the mining pool being used. Please note that the frequency of the payouts are also specific for each mining pool.

Why is my payout from the pool lower than expected?

This is not related to Awesome Miner, but how the profit switching pools operate. They mine what is most profitable at the uur, but at the time the coins are exchanged for Bitcoin, the exchange rate may be lower when everyone is selling the coin at the same time. For this reason, what looked very profitable an hour ago, can turn out to have very low profitability te the end.

Please note that this is a general drawback with profit switching and is related to how each pool is doing the profit switching. For any questions about lower payouts than expected, please voeling the pool operators. Awesome Miner is not a mining pool and will not take responsibility for the payout.

Can you add a fresh coin with profit information?

Awesome Miner automatically includes all coins from the WhatToMine.com main listings. If a fresh coin is added with properties and profit information on WhatToMine, it will automatically emerge ter Awesome Miner spil well. Any requests about fresh coins should be sent to the WhatToMine team.

WhatToMine also has a few coins not included te their main listing. Thesis coins can by hand be added to Awesome Miner. On the WhatToMine web pagina for a specific coin, there is a JSON listig te the toolbar. Copy this listig and waterput it ter Awesome Miner Options dialog, Statistics section, where it can be added spil Extra JSON URL’s. How do I switch payout to Litecoin for the profit switcher?

Some pools permits configuration of the coin to be used for payout from the profit switching via the Password field. See the pool web webpagina for details and information on available coins. An incorrect configuration can result te no payout from the pool.

To configure payout ter Litecoin ter Awesome Miner, open the Options dialog, Online Services section. Edit the entries and set the Password field to c=LTC.

Troubleshooting

My GPU mining software fails to commence
The information about the mining looks incorrect or is missing

Te case information like hashrate, temperature or accepted collective are incorrect or missing, it’s often because the mining software being used (Claymore miner, Ccminer, . ) doesn’t report this information correctly. Awesome Miner simply display what is being reported via the monitoring interfaces (API) of the mining software.

To verify what information Awesome Miner receive from the mining software, select the miner and go to the toolbar: Devices -> API Report. The very first section of this opstopping includes the response from the mining software, and this information can be of use to isolate the problem.

It’s also significant to understand that some information te the user interface isn’t available on all mining software. Some mining software can provide progress information like Accepted and Rejected shares vanaf GPU, while other mining software don’t which leaves thesis values at 0 te Awesome Miner. The same applies for GPU clocking information, where not all mining software will provide this information.

Awesome Miner can use its internal methods to get GPU clocking information and display this no matter if the mining software supports te or not. See GPU mapping. Also note that the order of the GPU’s may have to be switched ter the GPU mapping dialog, spil all mining software have their own way to order the GPU’s.

Why is the API te Restricted mode?

By default, Antminers are configured with Restricted API access, which only makes it possible to monitor the mining statistics, but not performing operations like switching pool. Awesome Miner can help with configuring your Antminers to run with Privileged API access instead. See Configure privileged API access for Antminer

Why are some mining and pool operations disabled ter the user interface?

Depending on mining software being used, the operations that are enabled reflects this.

If all operations are disabled, it could be because the mining software isn’t running with Privileged API enabled. To verify this, select the Summary tabulator where this information is specified. If the mining software is running ter Restricted API mode, no operations will be available. If the mining software is running te Basic API mode, it indicates that Awesome Miner can use all API’s of the mining software but the number of operations provided by the mining software is limited compared to what Awesome Miner can do with other software.

Why is a remote Managed Miner getting stopped all of a unexpected?

Please verify the configuration:

1) Verify that the same version of Awesome Miner and Remote Smeris is installed. Mixing versions are not supported and may result ter miners being stopped or not commenced correctly

Two) Verify that only a single Awesome Miner main application is connected to the Remote Tuut application. Two Awesome Miner applications cannot connect to the same Remote Juut

Three) Verify that the remote host is only added once te Awesome Miner. Open the Options dialog, Managed Hosts section and verify that no duplicates exists.

Why do I receive many e-mail messages when my e-mail rule is triggered?
When using the button to upgrade the software version, I still get the old version of Awesome Miner.
Where can I find the loom opstopping?

Awesome Miner is writing loom information to AwesomeMiner.loom. To find this verkeersopstopping, select the toolbar Devices te the main window, followed by clicking the toolbar button Loom Opstopping. The loom verkeersopstopping is located te the folder: %LocalAppData%\AwesomeMiner\

Awesome Miner Remote Tuut has a loom verkeersopstopping spil well. It can be accessed from the Remote Smeris icon ter the lower right corner of the screen, where the right-click menukaart has the option Loom Opstopping.

General

Is the license vanaf GPU or vanaf pc?

The license defines how many mining processes (e.g. Cgminer, Claymore Miner) that can be ready and monitored.

For ASIC miners like Antminers, one miner will consume one license.

GPU mining: Ter most cases one license is consumed vanaf mining laptop, spil long spil only once example of the mining software (e.g. Ccminer, Claymore Miner) is running. Yes. Awesome Miner doesn’t contain any virus, spyware or adware.

Since the launch ter 2014, Awesome Miner has bot adopted by many users running both petite scale and large scale mining operations. Awesome Miner is developed by the Swedish software company IntelliBreeze Software AB.

Configuration

How do I liquidate miners and pools?

Te the Options dialog, the miners can be found te either Managed Miners or Outward Miners section. The pools can be found te the Pools section. From thesis configuration sections, miners and pools can be added, modified and liquidated.

How to switch the default pools that my Antminers revert to after reboot?

Antminers have Three default pools defined, and the behavior of Antminers is to revert back to thesis pools when a hard reboot is made. When switching the current pool where the Antminer is mining, the default pools are not switched.

Awesome Miner can configure the default pools spil well. Select one or many Antminers and use the toolbar Devices -> Antminer -> Default Pools, to define the Trio default pools.

How do I use my custom-built mining software with Awesome Miner?

The Managed Software feature can also be used to define your own mining software. One script is that Awesome Miner includes a specific version of Ccminer, but you want to use another edition of Ccminer. By using the Managed Software feature it’s possible to specify custom-made algorithm support for this miner and the required guideline line arguments required to launch it.
